Philly Flavor '05 Images:

Kickin it at the Pod, a nifty little futuristic sushi joint.

Inside our pod were buttons which would change the ambient lighting.

From their website, which is also pretty cool. (you sit inside the round thing!)

The orange definitely became our favorite color, although the drink named 'blue' was tasty too.

Dennis and Ella came out to meet up for dinner, and took us on a whirlwind tour of the city.

But first we stuffed ourselves with plate after plate of some of the best sushi I have ever had.

Then it was back out to the city! The afore-mentioned Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Sadly the Dali exhibit had been sold out for weeks but there was plenty of other things to do...

Like jump on the stones!

Or admire the view of the city.

Mel liked the view of the interior the best, you can see the video clip here.

This is supposed to be us after we ran up the steps like rocky, but we were so tired...

We kinda felt like these guys.

This is a view up the Ben Franklin Parkway to the Museum. Obsessed I tell you!

The very famous City Hall. Apparently Ben Franklin built it with his bare hands.

At this point we were running around like crazy in the center of Downtown.

Our postcard moment.

Next couple!

Next came a quick succession of bars and pitchers of Margaritas. And we stole the Cuervo pinata when we left.

While we were in the Old City we had to stop by Penn's Landing.

But then we started to get hungry again...

It's a Trap!
It looked like this would be the spot to go...

But all the locals know, when you find yourself on Passyunk and 9th there is only one place to eat...

And that's right across the street from Geno's at Pat's!

Where's Mel?
Although the 3 AM line stretched around the block, it moved quickly.

And we were soon full once more as the night finally came to an end.

I snapped a couple of pics out the window of our hotel before we left...

Although we felt we had hardly seen our room at all.

We saw some more cool stuff on the way out of the city.

Seemed like an appropriate last image for Memorial Day, thanks for sharing this trip with us!
